This lovely apartment is located in a traditional building set in a picturesque location in the Winkelmatten area of Zermatt. This is most conveniently reached by electro-taxi but is also easily reached on foot. The centre of the village takes just 8 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes on foot. There is a regular bus close by which takes you to the ski lifts and the village centre in just a few minutes. Guests can also walk to the Matterhorn Express lift station in under 10 minutes.

In winter, if the snow conditions allow, you can ski from the hotel to the lift station. From the ski area you are also able to ski back to the hotel. In summer some of the hiking paths start just behind the hotel.

There is a small food store and three restaurants very close by.

For this apartment the price incudes daily house-keeping excluding the kitchen.

This fabulous penthouse apartment is full of traditional charm and character. It is very specious and very unique.

The apartment has a large living room with a wood burning fire, sofas, comfortable arm chairs, cable TV, DVD player and telephone. There is a large dinning area with table and chairs.

There is access to a large private balcony which is south facing with fabulous Matterhorn views, overlooking the wonderful scenery of "Tuftra" with its traditional old wooden houses.

There are two bedrooms with twin beds, and two bedrooms with a single bed in each.

There is a family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a second bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

The separate kitchen is spacious and well equipped. It has recently been completely refurbished and we are awaiting new photographs. The kitchen has a full hob, oven, fridge, coffee maker and dishwasher.

There is a unique suntrap room accessed fro m within the apartment where guests can lie beneath the open skylight, soaking up the sun throughout the year.

This unique penthouse offers wonderfully traditional alpine experience.

Additional Booking Conditions:



  • For this apartment the Swiss Visitor Tax is not included in the price and must be paid at check-in. The tax is Chf.2.10 per adult per night, and Chf.1.05 per child per night.

  • For this apartment the outstanding balance can be paid in advance by bank transfer or in cash on arrival. Payment by credit card is not possible.

  • Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is 9am on the day of departure. There may be flexibility on these times - please enquire on arrival. Cancellations:

    For all cancellations the deposit charged at the time of booking is non-refundable.
    For cancellations made between 6 and 8 weeks before the start day of the booking, there is a processing charge of Chf. 100.00.
    For cancellations made between 6 and 4 weeks before the start day of the booking, 30% of the total price is chargeable.
    For cancellations made between 4 and 2 weeks before the start day of the booking, 60% of the total price is chargeable.
    For cancellations made between 2 weeks or less before the start day of the booking, or for No Shows, 100% of the booking price is chargeable.
