This beautiful property dates back to 1865 and has been lovingly renovated to combine elements of traditional & contemporary styles. Nestled between the two five star hotels in Zermatt’s centre Hinterdorfstrasse is a charming cobbled street & the oldest part of the village which benefits from a listed & protected status.
The property is just a 2 mins walk to the river at the junction with Le Mazot where buses run in both directions every 10 mins during peak times. The Gornergrat and Sunnegga lifts are just a 7 minute walk and the furthest ski lift is only 5 mins on the bus The village centre is just a 2 minuet stroll away.
On entering the apartment there is an open plan kitchen / dining room with stone surround wood burning fire. The kitchen is well equipped with a high quality oven, steamer, microwave, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle & coffee machine. The dining room desk has a computer with Wi Fi which is available throughout the house. There is a twin bedroom, bathroom, small utility room with washing / drying machine & ski cupboard.
Upstairs there is a cosy loft style living room with very comfortable English furniture (2 person sofa, 2 single armchairs & a footstool). There are French windows onto the south facing balcony both offering superb Matterhorn views. A large top of the range plasma tv with UK satellite channels, & the option to pipe UK radio stations to both bathrooms & downstairs dining room, 5.1 surround system, a dvd player and cd player.
There is also a double en suit bedroom (wetroom with shower), separate door & outside stairs.
Best use has been made of the available space despite strict building regulations on this beautiful listed property, so the bathrooms are functional but small with showers in both. The internal staircase is very steep. There is however another outside staircase that runs up the side of the building. For this reason the apartment is not suitable for small children.
This is a beautiful, traditional building which has been transformed into a wonderfully stylish and comfortable property. its central locations makes this a great choice for your next trip to incredible Zermatt.

- For this apartment the full outstanding balance must be paid 45 days prior to the date of arrival by bank transfer. Bank transfer details will be emailed to you on receipt of your booking request.
- Cancellations.
In the event of cancellation the following charges will apply:
For cancellations made more than 90 days before arrival 15% of the total booking price will be retained. The remainder of the deposit will be refunded.
For cancellations made between 90 and 45 days before the date of arrival the deposit paid will be retained.
For cancellations made within 45 days before the date of arrival 100% of the total booking price will be retained.

"Our greeter (and apartment owner) was delightful. Marcus was generous in having a few basic food supplies (and chocolate!) and other cooking items available for our use. He arranged transport for us and of our skis, luggage etc. which was very helpful. He also recommended some reasonable restaurants and had other tips for local events/places of interest."
