Race, The Folklore Parade, Zermatt Festival, The Triftji Bump Bash and the Gornergrat Bahn, the first electrical cog railway in Switzerland celebrates its 111th year with a series of

The Zermatt Marathon takes place on 4th July 2009, this event is an amazing test of character and not for the faint hearted, and it takes amazing physical fitness to complete this gruelling
seven hour uphill endurance race. Leave your Zermatt Apartment early as the race starts in St. Niklaus at 9.30 am the runners then face an arduous ascent of 1500 metres passing through
Zermatt, before crossing the finish line in Riffleberg at a staggering altitude, 2585 metres above sea level, the highest finish line in Europe. A Zermatt Apartment complete with sauna

The Matterhorn eagle Cup is an alpine golf competition which takes place on August 15th 2009, which will be its 15th year in succession. Held in the Gornergrat area, on natural alpine meadows,

Zermatt's Folklore Parade is held annually in August. This is a popular event celebrating traditional Swiss customs and culture. The parade takes place with around a 1,000 people taking
